Anita Lovell is a licensed independent mental health practitioner at the Crete Area Medical Center and the Wilber Medical Clinic. Her clinical focus is as a pediatric mental and behavioral counselor and parenting trainer.
Anita's clinical area of interest and training is in behavioral pediatric counseling and cognitive behavioral therapy.
Her counseling career started with Behavioral Health Solutions, P.C. in Nebraska City, NE in 2007 during an internship with Doane College. Antia received her Master of Arts in Counseling Degree in 2008 and continued practicing in Nebraska City until 2011. She joined the AdultSpan Counseling team in 2012. Beginning in 2017 Anita established Quality Life Counseling in order to use her training to promote positive mental and behavioral health to children and their families.
Anita is internationally certified to perform the empirically-supported treatment approach, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). This model has been extremely effective in her experience to assist families with every-day, real-life struggles.
Anita has also completed training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which is an empirically-supported treatment program to assist children and their non-offending parents during the process of healing from a traumatic experience.
Tami earned her Masters of Arts in Counseling degree from Doane University in Lincoln, NE in 2011. She has over 27 years experience working with children, adolescents, and families in various professional roles to include clinical supervisor, mental health therapist, compliance officer, and school resource officer.
Tami continually strives to de-stigmatize mental illness, and promotes the need for early identification and treatment of mental health disorders. She has a passion and innate ability in building a safe and therapeutic rapport with each client. Tami presents with an unconditional positive regard and non-judgmental approach by meeting each client where they are in their life and remaining present with every client. Tami strongly believes in empowering clients, as well as caregivers, in making positive changes as each client/family works toward desired outcomes.
